The book Case Based Reviews in Pediatric Endocrinology is organized into seven sections with a total of twenty-four chapters. The first section deals with disorders of growth and puberty that form the core of the practice of pediatric endocrinology. Included in this section are chapters that deal with disorders of sexual development and hyperandrogenism in girls. This section also outlines the approach to child with inherited metabolic disease since these conditions can present to a pediatric endocrinologist with symptoms such as hypoglycemia or growth failure suggestive of a primary endocrine problem. The final section includes chapters on investigative techniques, both radiological and dynamic laboratory protocols, relevant to pediatric endocrinology. This book will prove to be a valuable resource in the practice of pediatric endocrinology and lead to early diagnosis and treatment of children affected by these disorders.
